Tasmania has shown that it is ready for fresh ideas for our future.

The Rudd Government will keep our economy strong by investing in an education revolution, skilling up our workforce with trade centres in schools. We are acting urgently and decisively on climate change and will return fairness and balance to workplaces.

It is part of our core business to ensure that vital services are delivered to the families of Tasmania in partnership with the Tasmanian State Government. A critical example of this is the challenge of improving our healthcare system. We look forward to achieving real progress in this area.

I am proud of the first rate group of Labor MPs we have in Tasmania, a team who I am certain will work tirelessly to deliver for local families.
